Voting for the 30 Club nominees for the Roberto Clemente Award opened on Friday morning, and Christian Yelich is the representative for the Milwaukee Brewers this season.

The Roberto Clemente Award is considered one of MLB's most prestigious individual awards, and it seeks to recognize a player from each ball club who represents extraordinary character, community involvement, and positive contributions both on and off the field.

When thinking of players on the Milwaukee Brewers who fit this description, there could be no better nominee for this award than Christian Yelich.

On the field, Yelich has been one of the most influential contributors to the Brewers' success this season, and he is a perfect example of what a good leader and contributor to clubhouse camaraderie looks like. This is the best version of Christian Yelich that Brewers fans have seen since 2019, and it's good not only for Milwaukee, but for the game of baseball to see Christian Yelich back on top of his game.

Off the field, Yelich is being recognized for his annual contributions to the Brewers Community Foundation, where the donations are designated to local military organizations, and for his regular support and visitations to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

Additionally, Yelich became a co-founder of "California Strong" in an effort to provide financial relief for those affected by the natural disasters that struck California back in 2019. Other co-founders include former Brewer players Ryan Braun and Mike Moustakas, Mike Attanasio, and Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff. One hundred percent of the money raised goes to individuals and families impacted by the tragedies, and the organization has raised over $1 million since the program launched.

Yelich continuously finds a way to leave his mark on the community, and this past May was a spectacular example of how he has worked to give back even more.

Yelich hosted his first-ever Christian Yelich Home Plate Charity Event on May 11th. The event raised roughly $350,000 to support economically disadvantaged Little League baseball teams in the Milwaukee area. Yelich has found new ways to use his platform to transcend his influence past the diamond and positively impact his community, and the Brewers could not ask for a better individual to have as the face of their franchise.

Yelich's footprint in the city of Milwaukee is monumental, both for his community contributions and his impact on the ball club, and it's hard to think of someone more worthy of this prestigious nomination. Yelich will look to be the first member of the Milwaukee Brewers to win the award since Cecil Cooper back in 1983, who is also the organization's only Roberto Clemente Award winner.

Voting will end at 11:59 PM on Sunday, October 1st. You can cast your vote HERE before then to help Christian Yelich secure his first Roberto Clemente Award.
