As yet another sign of the Milwaukee Brewers organization's strength, the Low-A Carolina Mudcats and High-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers both took part in their respective leagues' postseasons. Sadly, both teams' playoff runs ended in defeat.

The Mudcats wound up being swept in the Carolina League divisional series, losing to the Fredericksburg Nationals in two games. Meanwhile, the TImber Rattlers advanced to the Midwest League championships before losing the winner-take-all game to the Lake County Captains on a late rally by their opponent.

Upon the completion of the two seasons, league All-Stars were announced were announced for both the Low-A and High-A levels. Unsurprisingly, both Brewers affiliates had multiple players and managers awarded for their accomplishments in 2024.

Carolina Mudcats All-Stars, Carolina League: UTIL Cooper Pratt, Manager Nick Stanley

For being one of the first teams in all of minor league baseball to clinch a playoff spot, two All-Stars almost didn't feel like enough. One thing is for sure, though, these were two extremely deserving All-Star candidates.

Cooper Pratt began his season at Carolina before ultimately being promoted and quickly showed why he's the No. 2 prospect in the Brewers system per MLB Pipeline. At just 19 years old, he hit .295 with a .789 OPS as well as 11 doubles, three triples, and three homers, not to mention 25 steals, in 73 games. After finishing the regular season at Wisconsin and assisting their playoff run, he joined another playoff team in Double-A Biloxi just this week, pitching in yesterday with an RBI single.

His manager, Nick Stanley, is now 1-for-1 in Carolina League manager of the year awards as he just was promoted to the job this season after serving as bench coach in Biloxi in 2023. He led the Mudcats to the first half division title and a 78-51 overall record that was tops in the Carolina League for the entire 2024 season.

Wisconsin Timber Rattlers All-Stars, Midwest League - 2B Jadher Areinamo, RP Craig Yoho, Manager Victor Estevez

Up in Appleton, No. 24 prospect and eventual Pratt teammate Jadher Areinamo had quite the season of his own. In 106 games, he slashed a cool .301/.349/.442 and slugged 30 doubles and 10 homers while driving in 68 and swiping 32 bags in 40 attempts. He led the team in RBIs in 2024 while leading both them and the entire Midwest League in doubles for the season.

Reliever Craig Yoho hasn't even been at High-A since May and is now all the way up in Triple-A Nashville, which just goes to show how dominant his quick stint in the MIdwest League was to earn him an All-Star nod. In 20.1 innings, he gave up a single earned run on eight hits and six walks while striking out a whopping 37 batters.

Like Stanley, Estevez was also in the first year of his current gig after originally occupying his counterpart's job in Carolina prior to this season. All he did in his first year at the helm in Wisconsin was earn a spot in the playoffs with a first half division title and tie for the most wins in the entire Midwest League with 77.

Congrats to all the Mudcat and Timber Rattler players who received these well-deserved honors. We'll see what other ones come from the other affiliates when their seasons come to an end as well.
