The Brewers are opening the second half of the 2024 season against the Minnesota Twins in their open air ballpark, Target Field. Unfortunately the open air stadium leaves this game subject to bad weather, which is what's happening in Minneapolis.

Milwaukee had just defeated the Twins last night in a thrilling extra-innings game and are looking for the quick, two-game series sweep. The game for July 21st was scheduled to start at 12:05 and air exclusively on Roku.

Aaron Civale is slated to take the mound for the Brewers in his third start for the organization since coming over in a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays. In his first two starts, he has a 3.97 ERA in 11.1 IP. He's pitching opposite Joe Ryan for the Twins, who has a 3.53 ERA this season.

However, this game will not start at the scheduled time due to rain.

Brewers-Twins Rain Delay updates: Restart time projection, weather forecast

UPDATE (12:05 PM CT): The grounds crew is removing the tarp from the infield. Rain is still drizzling, but it's light enough that the tarp is coming off. The Twins announce an estimated start time of 12:50 PM.

UPDATE (11:57 AM CT): The estimated start time, per the Twins, is still TBD. The tarp remains on the field and there is no signs of the grounds crew coming to take the tarp off the field. The Twins are playing the Hall of Fame induction ceremony on the videoboard live from Cooperstown to fill time as Twins legend Joe Mauer is getting inducted today.

The weather forecast shows that the rain should subside around 1:00 PM or a little before. So within the next hour, the rain could stop and then shortly after that, the tarp can be removed and the field can be readied for play.
