Brewers Twitter set ablaze over Snoop Dogg's presence at Brewers-Reds
Snoop Dogg threw out a first pitch ahead of Saturday's game between the Brewers and Reds
As the saying goes, "you never know what you'll see at the ballpark". That saying was certainly true for everyone in attendance at Saturday's game between the Brewers and Reds. While most of the 38,419 fans coming through the gates were primarily excited about receiving their Sal Frelick bobblehead, there was another reason for fans to get riled up.
In the dog days of summer, the Brewers brought out Snoop Dogg to throw the final ceremonial first pitch of the day. He and first base coach Quintin Berry shared a little dance before the pitch and the Brewers fans in attendance went nuts while Brewers Twitter was set ablaze.
Prior to the pitch, Snoop was hanging out with manager Pat Murphy, who knows practically everybody and has the ability to have a conversation with just about anyone.
"Seemed like a nice man." Murphy said after the game.
Snoop Dogg was hanging out with the team prior to the game, and took tons of pictures with them. The Brewers even changed their Twitter profile pic.
After that, Snoop Dogg was able to FaceTime with Bob Uecker. Uecker was not in attendance to call Saturday's game unfortunately. A Snoop-Ueck radio broadcast call would've been absolutely legendary. Instead, Snoop spent a couple of innings in the TV broadcast booth with Brian Anderson and Bill Schroeder and it was, unsurprisingly, still legendary.
Brewers Twitter and Brewers fans simply couldn't get enough of the Snoop content, which was dropping like it's hot. Brice Turang got his bat signed, Wade Miley had his Skechers signed, and it was a Snoop World and we're all just living in it.
Snoop Dogg is in Milwaukee for a concert at Potowatomi Hotel Casino Saturday night.
After a tough loss the night before, some light hearted fun with Snoop Dogg seemed to be just what the Brewers and Brewers fans needed. Joey Ortiz smoked a three run homer in the 5th inning to help lift Milwaukee's offense to a 3-1 victory.
"That's one of the cooler, if not the coolest experience I've had as a professional baseball player. You look at him and he's as A-List as A-List gets. Unless you play for the Dodgers, I feel like you never get to meet that guy." Bryse Wilson said postgame.
The vibes are high with this Brewers club right now and Saturday was even further proof of that. Plus, on top of it all, Snoop gave Brewers Twitter a brand new GIF to use over and over again.
You never know what you'll see at the ballpark on a given day. One day, you could see a team commit five errors and a game end on a pop up bunt and the next you could see Snoop Dogg vibing with Pat Murphy and Bob Uecker.
