The Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers finish a three-game series on Wednesday afternoon in Milwaukee with a pair of lefties taking the mound.
Wade Miley continues his fine form this season for the Brewers as he faces the Dodgers on Wednesday, who will counter with Clayton Kershaw, who is turning back the clock on his career and having one of his best starts to the year in recent memory.
Both teams are in hotly contested division races, who will cap off the series with a win? Let's check out the odds and dish out a best bet for Wednesday's matchup:
Dodgers vs. Brewers odds, run line and total
Dodgers vs. Brewers prediction and pick
These are two of the worst teams against lefty pitching on the year, each checking in the bottom five in the league in batting average at below .220. It won't get any easier for either club with two studs on the mound.
Let's start with Miley, who has bounced back from injuries over the prior two seasons and is thriving in his first year with Milwaukee. He is showcasing pinpoint control despite diminishing strikeout marks, still striking out nearly four batters for every walk dolled out.
The Dodgers are the worst hitting team against lefties this season, and I expect Miley keeps it rolling on Wednesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Kershaw is looking like his best self, posting a 2.53 ERA while striking out over 10 batters per nine innings for the time since 2017. The Brewers offense is horrid and I don't expect they'll hold up against Kershaw, who has allowed two or fewer runs in five of seven starts this year.
This is going to be a pitcher's duel all afternoon, bet accordingly.
