The Milwaukee Brewers officially broke out of their mini slump in Wednesday's victory over the Dodgers. Jake Bauers homered, Frankie Montas looked sharp and Devin Williams put on a ninth-inning clinic in the form of a seven-pitch dominance of Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman. Now, Milwaukee sets its sights on a series split with LA as they prepare for an early-afternoon matchup to close things out on Thursday.

Probable starting pitchers

  • Rookie standout Tobias Myers will take the ball for the Brewers, making his 19th appearance and 18th start of the year. The right-hander has been one of the most pleasant surprises not only on the Brewers, but in all of baseball. He's coming into the day with a 2.79 ERA and 151 ERA+ across 93.2 innings and just made one of the best starts of his young career last time out against the Reds, as he went 7.1 innings of shutout baseball with nine strikeouts.
  • Jack Flaherty, who easily could've been taking the ball today as a member of the Brewers, is set to make his 21st start of the year and third as a Dodger. He was one of the top available arms on the market at this year's deadline and was ultimately acquired from the Tigers in exchange for a package the Brewers easily could've matched. He's started his Dodgers career with 11.2 strong innings in which he's struck out 17 batters and walked only two, posting a 3.09 ERA along the way.
