Milwaukee Brewers probable pitchers & starting lineups vs. Oakland A's, August 25
The Crew will look to secure a winning road trip as well as a series sweep.
It didn't take much for the Brewers to put a disappointing road series against the Cardinals in the rearview. Milwaukee exploded for 20 runs in the first two games of their following series on the road against the A's, both wins, and will be attempting the sweep here on Sunday. A win would also give them a winning road trip.
Probable starting pitchers
Frankie Montas makes his fifth start as a member of the Brewers after being acquired at the trade deadline from the Reds. The nine-year MLB veteran has been excellent for the Crew as he has put up a 2.57 ERA and helping Milwaukee to wins in all of his starts. He was stellar in his most recent start against the Cardinals, pitching seven scoreless on a hit and a walk with three punchouts.
Montas will face off against A's rookie Joey Estes. The 22-year-old 16th rounder from the 2019 draft is 5-6 with a 4.44 ERA in 18 appearances (17 starts) on the season. He did well in a start last week against the Rays, giving up just a run over 7.2 innings, but unfortunately got no run support as the A's lost the game 1-0.
