Milwaukee Brewers probable pitchers & starting lineups vs. San Francisco Giants, August 28
The Brewers look to bounce back after a series-opening loss on Monday.
The Milwaukee Brewers' home series against the San Francisco Giants didn't go quite as expected on Monday night as the Crew dropped the opener 5-4, adding to their woes against the NL West. They'll look to turn their fortunes around on Tuesday and turn a series-opening loss in to a series win, as they have done many times already in 2024.
Probable starting pitchers
Brewers ace Freddy Peralta is back on the mound for his 26th start of the season. There have been ups and downs but he has been good overall with a 8-7 record, 3.86 ERA, and 1.201 WHIP on the season. His last start was a shorter one at five innings but was scoreless with just three hits and two walks allowed with a season low two strikeouts.
He and the Brewers will face Giants rookie Kyle Harrison. The 3rd pick in the 2020 draft has started 22 games this year and is 7-5 with an even 4.00 ERA and 1.299 WHIP. He had his best start of the month last week against the White Sox, giving up a run in six innings on five hits and two walks in a 5-3 win for San Francisco.
