Padres vs. Brewers prediction and odds for Saturday, Aug. 26 (How to bet over/under)
Should you go over or under on Saturday night?
The Padres are out of the playoff picture, and the Brewers would love to keep building up a cushion in the NL Central with a win at the struggling visitors on Saturday night.
Freddy Peralta will look to build up some playoff momentum at the expense of a poor Padres lineup of late, but can the Brewers offense get the better of opener Pedro Avilia and a stout Padres bullpen?

Padres vs. Brewers prediction and pick
Peralta brings a ton of power to the mound, he strikes out more than 11 batters per nine innings, and he is due some positive regression as well. While his ERA is rock solid at 3.97, he is due some better fortune down the stretch of the season, posting a 3.35 xERA.
The Padres enter this one in poor form at the plate, posting a .696 OPS in the month of August against right handed pitching. Peralta should be in line for a strong showing on the mound.
Meanwhile, Avilia has limited reps, only seven appearances, but I can't trust this Brewers offense to do the heavy lifting at the plate. Milwaukee has a .663 OPS against righties this month. Overall, the team will struggle against an above average Padres bullpen that has a 3.77 ERA as a unit.
The total is low at 8.5, and for good reason. I'll take the under between two teams struggling at the plate.
