At 67-60, the Nashville Sounds, the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, are rolling along just like the big league club is. While they have quite a bit of work to do to catch up to the first-place Oklahoma Storm Chasers (Royals), a record seven games above .500 with a positive run differential is a win in itself.

One of the standout performers on this Sounds club has been outfielder Brewer Hicklen, whose name alone automatically makes him the most overqualified player to ever suit up for the organization. He's a former seventh-round pick by the Royals back in 2017 and was a member of their organization until last year.

Now, Hicklen is in his first full season in the Brewers system and has been extremely productive down in Triple-A. In 104 games, he's got 16 doubles, 21 home runs, 68 RBI, 41 stolen bases and an .853 OPS while spending time in all three outfield spots.

On Tuesday, Hicklen hit his 20th home run, which officially made him the first player in Sounds history (for reference, the Sounds are in their 46th season) to hit 20 home runs and steal 40 bases in the same season. He leads the International League in steals and is tied for seventh in the league in home runs. Some players ahead of him include former big-leaguer Scott Kingery and Orioles top prospect Coby Mayo.

It's important to note that Hicklen is on the Brewers' 40-man roster, so a promotion in the coming days as a September call-up is definitely not out of the question. The biggest hurdle in his way is the presence of Tyler Black, who's one of the team's top prospects and will likely have a leg up over someone like Hicklen when it comes to decision time.

However, Hicklen's mixture of speed, pop and defense could be of interest to the Brewers as Black is more of a bat-only type of player. And imagine those jersey sales if they put his full name on the back!
