The Milwaukee Brewers hold a slim 0.5 game lead on the NL Central, but they're in a great spot to put together a solid weekend of results as they prepare to host the 48-60 Pittsburgh Pirates in a four-game series.

The Brewers destroyed the Pirates in the series opener on Thursday, beating them by a final score of 14-1. I expect more of the same tonight.

Let's dive into the odds for Friday night's action and then I'll give you my best bet.

Pirates vs. Brewers prediction and pick

There's only one way to bet on this game, and it's to continue to bet against the Pittsburgh Pirates. After being on the wrong side of last night's blowout, things won't get any easier for them tonight as they're set to roll with Quinn Priester as their starter.

Priester has an ERA of 9.19 and has allowed at least four earned runs in all three of his starts this season.

Not only do the Brewers have the pitching advantage with Colin Rea (4.76 ERA) on the mound, but they have the significant offensive advantage as well. Over the last 30 days, the Pirates are second last in the Majors in both batting average (.215) and OPS (.637).

The Brewers have under-performed offensively, but they're still leagues above the Pirates. They sport a .731 OPS over the last 30 days, good enough for 15 in the Majors over that stretch.

I'll back the Brewers on the moneyline again tonight.
