With the midway point of the minor league season quickly approaching, top prospects around the league are starting to earn midseason promotions. In the Milwaukee Brewers system, Cooper Pratt's promotion to the big leagues is justifiably grabbing all the headlines. The Brewers' No. 4-ranked prospect is reportedly joining the big-league club ahead of Tuesday night's series opener with the Cleveland Guardians after spending the first two months of the 2026 campaign in Triple-A with the Nashville Sounds.

However, while Pratt earning his first shot at the major leagues is certainly the most attention-grabbing piece of yesterday's news, his departure from Milwaukee's minor league system has a ripple effect that is leading to the promotions of several other top prospects in the Brewers' farm system.

Shortly after news of Pratt earning a promotion to MLB dropped, minor league baseball insider Chase Ford of MiLB Central reported that MLB Pipeline's No. 6-ranked Brewers' prospect, Andrew Fischer, and No. 10-ranked prospect, Josh Adamczewski, are being promoted from High-A Wisconsin to Double-A Biloxi.

Presumably, the addition of two more position players to the Shuckers' roster will result in one or more prospects being promoted from Double-A Biloxi to Triple-A Nashville, especially considering the fact that the Shuckers haven't experienced any injuries in recent days. Biloxi will have to make room on their roster for Fischer and Adamczewski, and it could mean one of their talented infielders, a group that includes No. 1 overall MLB prospect Jesús Made, Dylan O'Rae, and Blake Burke, being promoted to Triple-A.

The Shuckers and Sounds don't play their next game until Tuesday night, so it's not guaranteed that news of any further promotions will arrive before the end of the day, but what is known is that 2025 first-round pick Andrew Fischer and quickly rising outfield prospect Josh Adamczewski are headed to Double-A after incredible starts to the 2026 season with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

Fischer and Adamczewski advancing in the Brewers' farm system should really come as no surprise. Fischer was leading the Midwest League in home runs with 20 while slashing .298/.443/.675 before his promotion. He's kept his strikeout rate a hair below 30% since the calendar flipped to June, but between his advanced eye at the plate, evidenced by 45 walks (18% walk rate) and power, it's time to see what he can do at the next level.

Adamczewski, meanwhile, was also dominating High-A pitching, slashing .331/.464/.572 across 50 games. He too has a knack for getting on base, drawing 41 walks of his own (19% walk rate) while striking out just 40 times (19% strikeout rate). He's also swiped nine bases this year while continuing to play the corner outfield after joining the Brewers' farm system as a second baseman.

Ultimately, both prospects have nothing left to prove at the High-A level and will now be challenged against more advanced competition as they continue their climb toward the major leagues. The duo will join the Shuckers for a crucial seven-game homestand to close out the first half, with Biloxi currently holding a slim half-game lead in the division standings. If the Shuckers can maintain that lead, they will clinch the first-half division title and secure a postseason berth for the third season in a row.
