It felt like only a matter of time before Jesús Made was officially the Milwaukee Brewers’ top prospect. Now, following MLB Pipeline's update of their prospect rankings list, that time has come. Made leapfrogged fellow MLB Top-100 prospect, Jeferson Quero, in yesterday evening's release of the new MLB Top-100 and Brewers Top-30 lists.
Made had formerly been ranked as the 49th best prospect in all of baseball and the second best in the Brewers' minor league system. However, yesterday's update boosted him 26 spots, with him now holding the honor of MLB's 23rd best prospect. Made's upgrade was the second biggest of any prospect in baseball, trailing only George Lombard Jr. of the New York Yankees, who jumped from spot 93 to 44.
Made's improvement is a reflection of the impressive start he's had in 2025. Playing in his first stateside professional season, Made has posted a slash line of .311/.418/.456 while slugging eight extra-base hits and swiping 13 bases in just 26 games. While not quite at the ridiculous level that it was a season ago, Made's plate discipline is still extremely encouraging for an 18-year-old — he's drawn 17 walks and struck out 27 times in 2025. Rather than shy away from the better competition this year, Made has shown that his time in the Dominican Summer League a season ago wasn't a fluke, and as a result, he's now the Brewers’ top-ranked prospect.
Jesús Made passes Jeferson Quero for top prospect in the Brewers minor league system
Quero falling below Made in the rankings is less a reflection of his own performance and more a recognition of the incredible baseball that Made is playing. In fact, Quero has yet to appear in a game this season after a hamstring injury prolonged his time away from baseball that was started by a season-ending shoulder injury in the first game of the 2024 season.
Without playing in a game so far this season, Quero hasn't had the opportunity to prove that he is still worthy of his position atop the Brewers' prospect rankings. Quero was cleared to resume baseball activities nearly three weeks ago, so his continued absence from the field is a mystery. When he does return, it will be for the Brewers' Triple-A affiliate, the Nashville Sounds, where he will split time behind the dish with big-league veteran Jorge Alfaro.
Jacob Misiorowski also receives an impressive boost in MLB Pipeline's update
While Made becoming a top-25 MLB prospect was certainly the highlight of yesterday's update from MLB Pipeline, another top Brewers prospect also received some well-earned recognition. Jacob Misiorowski, the Brewers’ top pitching prospect, jumped 19 spots on the Top-100 list, going from spot 91 to 72.
Misiorowski has a sub-2.00 ERA in seven starts with the Sounds this year. He's struck out 54 batters in just 42.1 innings pitched and has limited the walks, which had been an issue for Miz throughout his minor league career. His MLB debut is nearing, but with an increasingly crowded big-league pitching staff, it's difficult to predict exactly when it will be.
