A win on Sunday afternoon in the series finale against the St. Louis Cardinals eased some of the stress that Milwaukee Brewers fans were feeling about their inconsistent 2025 squad. However, Sunday's win wasn't the only silver lining present during an otherwise cloudy weekend series in St. Louis, as two Brewers reached notable career milestones at Busch Stadium.

Rhys Hoskins, in his age 32 season, is one month into his eighth year in MLB. He's appeared in 20 postseason games, lost a season to an ACL injury, and played in empty stadiums during the 2020 COVID season. In other words, the 2014 5th-round pick has just about seen it all during his career. On the other hand, 20-year-old Jackson Chourio appeared in just his 176th MLB game on Sunday afternoon, after an impressive rookie campaign saw him finish third in NL Rookie of the Year voting in 2024. However, the seasoned veteran and the budding superstar shared a commonality over the weekend as they each eclipsed a career mark for runs batted in.

Jackson Chourio reaches 100 career RBIs, Rhys Hoskins collects his 500th

With a sharp line drive to left field that scored Brice Turang in the fifth inning of Saturday's game against St. Louis, Jackson Chourio collected his 100th career RBI. Chourio quickly added career RBIs 101 and 102 with his game-tying, two-run home run in the top of the ninth.

Chourio leads the Brewers and is tied for fifth in the National League with 23 RBIs. Perhaps even more impressive than leading your team in RBIs at the young age of 20 is the pace at which Chourio has collected his first 100 career RBIs. As noted by Milwaukee Brewers reporter Sophia Minnaert on the social media platform X, Chourio reached the 100 career RBI mark in the second fewest games in franchise history, trailing only Ryan Braun.

In addition to Chourio's impressive accomplishment, another Brewer reached a noteworthy landmark on Sunday afternoon. With a sharply hit ball off the glove of Cardinals' second baseman Thomas Saggese that scored William Contreras in the first inning of the series finale, Hoskins collected his 500th career RBI.

Hoskins is off to an impressive bounce-back campaign after his disappointing 2024 season. He's slashing .296/.396/.432 with three home runs and 13 runs batted in. Both his batting average and on-base percentage would be career highs for Hoskins if they last throughout the season. He becomes one of just 64 active players with 500 career RBIs, outpacing similarly aged players such as Willson Contreras, Ian Happ, and Gary Sánchez. Additionally, Hoskins currently has 177 career home runs, meaning if he's able to slug 23 more long balls this season, he could add another notable achievement to his already impressive resume.
