Braun, Brewers Finally Solve Marlins In 9-5 Win

It seems this year with Ryan Braun he is either having a very good game or struggling and luckily for the Milwaukee Brewers he was having a good one last night. Braun hit a home run to help power the Brewers to a 9-5 win over the Marlins. It was only the 3rd win for the Brewers in 15 tries in Miami.

Prince Fielder got the Brewers going early as he doubled in the first inning and scored Casey McGehee to give the Brewers and early 1-0 lead. Ryan Braun homered in the third inning with Cory Hart on to give the Brewers a 3-0 lead. In the fifth inning the Brewers scored six runs aided by some horrible pitching on the Marlins part.  Three of the runs came on bases loaded walks by Marlin pitching. It was good to see Brewers batters patient when they needed to be.

For the Brewers Seth McClung came in relief to notch his third win while Trevor Hoffman nailed down another save to make him 14 for 14 in save chances. The Brewers starting pitching worries me as we need to be more consistent then we have been so far this season. Today the Brewers send Dave Bush to the mound to try and get a spilt with the Marlins.

Other Brewers notes they recalled Chris Smith from Triple AAA and Mike Cameron also returned to the line-up last night. I look for the Brewers to seriously look at other pitching options as they cannot continue to go the way they are right now.
