Punchless Brewers Fall To Cubbies Again

It seems to be a script that has been written many times this season. Brewers pitching cannot get people out and Brewers hitting was almost non-existent again in the latest lost to the Cubs by a score of 7-2. The only saving grace is the season is about over and it makes taking these losses much easier as the season winds down.

Dave Bush who has pitched well of late got nothing going yesterday as he lasted only 1.1 innings. He gave up six earned runs on just four hits and also walked four batters. If you pitch like that you will not beat anyone that is for sure. The bullpen came in though and did a good job giving up just one run rest of the way, but the damage was already done.

Prince Fielder added to his home run total and RBI total as well yesterday. He hit is 41st home run and also got his 129th RBI as well for the Brewers.  The Brewers did manage 10 hits, but left 11 runners on base which is a recipe for disaster and it was. Jody Gerut was 2 for 4 again and hopefully next year he will get a chance in spring training to show what he can do. The Brewers have many decisions to make and he is one of the guys they must decide on.
