Brewers Bullpen Fails Them In Extra Inning Loss To Rockies

Just like all season long the Milwaukee Brewers bullpen needed to stop the opposing team and just like most of the year they could not. David Weathers gave up a two run home run to pinch hitter Chris Iannetta in the 11th inning to seal the Brewers fate as the Rockies beat them 7-5. Another loss in a season of what might have been if the Brewers only had some pitching when they needed it.

Chris Narveson started for the Brewers and went 5.0 innings giving up five hits and three earned runs. He actually had most of the hitters off balance and I really can’t complained about the job he did.  The bullpen is another story as they could not seem to get the outs when we needed and David Weathers gave up the winning home run in the 11th to end it. Probably best because someone else would have gave up the winning run anyway.

The Brewers only managed eight hits, but did get five runs out of those so they did not do to bad in that department. It’s just hard to keep battling back when the bullpen cannot hold the game when you need them too. Same story just another day for the Milwaukee Brewers and their fans.
