Brewers Close To Signing Dodgers Wolf

According to various sources the Milwaukee brewers are close to signing Randy Wolf . Wolf is coming off a career season in which he went 11-7 with a 3.23 ERA in 34 starts with the Dodgers and will command more than he was getting last year which was 5 million dollars. The Brewers have been targeting Wolf for some time so we will see if this deal gets finalized real soon and announced.

The rumor mill also has the Brewers talking to the New York Mets about acquiring John Maine for outfielder Corey Hart. I hope the Brewers do not make a trade like this as Corey Hart is a good player and would not want to lose him, but you never know what Milwaukee is thinking. Hart was injured part of the year so maybe they do not want to take a chance of that again this coming year. Either way would not pull this trade at all.
