It seems like the rain won’t leave the Milwaukee Brewers affiliates along as it rained out two more games on Friday

Triple-A

San Antonio Missions (7-7) vs. Memphis Redbirds (7-7)

Some day the Missions will play again, I promise. They will also have pitcher Corbin Burnes with them when they do play again, as he was optioned to Triple-A on Friday. He will most likely make a start on Monday as he tries to work his way back to the Milwaukee Brewers 25-man roster.

Double-A

Biloxi Shuckers (7-8) vs. Pensacola Blue Wahoos (10-5)

Doubleheader action on the Bayou as the Shuckers dropped game one 9-1 to the Blue Wahoos.

Biloxi did have seven hits but only mustered one run in the sixth inning when Trent Grisham scored on a Bruce Caldwell single.

Grisham and Alex Alvarez each had two hits, Dillon Thomas, Caldwell and Cooper Hummel each had one hit.

Alec Bettinger went 4 1/3 innings, giving up six runs on just five hits but walked four. Justin Topa saw his first action of the season, going 1 2/3 clean innings. Luke Barker struggled in his one inning of work giving up three runs.

In game two the Shuckers got that first game back, winning 4-3.

The Shuckers offense was lead by the two guys at the top of the order with two hits for both Michael O’Neill and C.J. Hinojosa as well as hits for Thomas and Wes Wilson.

Hinojosa lead the team with two RBIs, but it was O’Neill that stole the show, scoring two runs, hitting in one and snagging two bases. O’Neill is now a perfect seven for seven in steals.

Johan Belisario got the start, going 3 2/3 innings but gave up three runs before being pulled for Angel Perdomo, who picked up the win. Perdomo pitched a perfect 2 1/3 innings striking out five.

Tomorrow the Shuckers start a five game series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp at MGM Park.

Class A Advanced

Carolina Mudcats (9-6) vs. Fayetteville Woodpeckers (8-7)

You can’t have one rain out with out a second and the Mudcats are the lucky recipient of the second rain out.

They will play a double header on Saturday.

Class A

Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (6-8) vs. Clinton LumberKings (8-6)

Wisconsin dominated with thirteen hits but couldn’t close the deal, dropping game two against Clinton 4-3.

Milwaukee Brewers 2018 first round pick Brice Turang was fantastic again. He went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk and a run scored. His infield partner Yeison Coca was 2-5 with a home run, two RBis and bumped his batting average to .326 and owns a .845 OPS.

Catcher David Fry was 2-for-4 with a double and a run. Connor McVey and Jesus Lujano each went 2-for-4 in the game.

Adam Hill made his third start, going four innings and gave up all four runs. He did have six strike outs. In 11 1/3 innings Hill has a 4.76 ERA and 1.59 WHIP. Justin Bullock and Michael Mediavilla pitched four shut out innings in relief.

Tomorrow the Rattlers finish up the series with the LumberKings.
