MLB Pipeline recently released its updated 2026 prospect rankings, with five Milwaukee Brewers making the list. As expected, Jesús Made led the group, checking in at No. 3 overall. He was followed by Luis Peña at No. 26, newcomer Jett Williams at No. 51, Cooper Pratt at No. 64, and another newcomer Brandon Sproat rounding things out at No. 100.
Left out from the prestigious Top 100 list from MLB Pipeline were Jeferson Quero and Logan Henderson. Quero had been included in this group over the past few seasons, while Henderson cracked the Top 100 according to Baseball America's rankings.
That said, MLB Pipeline further broke down its prospect rankings by position group, revealing the strength of one position in particular. This one is so deep that it left three Brewers prospects off the list.

Despite being Top 100 prospects, Luis Peña, Jett Williams Cooper Pratt miss out on MLB Pipeline's Top 10 shortstop prospects list
When examining the Top 10 shortstop rankings for 2026, Peña, Williams, and Pratt are notably absent despite being ranked No. 26, No. 51, and No. 64 overall, respectively. Their omission largely comes down to positional depth, evidenced by Made, who is ranked third overall in the sport and is also the third-ranked shortstop.
In fact, each of the top five overall prospects plays the shortstop position, pushing otherwise highly regarded Brewers prospects outside the Top 10 at that spot. Ahead of Made in the rankings are Konnor Griffin of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Kevin McGongle of the Detroit Tigers, with Leo De Vries of the Athletics and JJ Wetherholt of the St. Louis Cardinals rounding out the top five.
After Wetherholt, the shortstop rankings remain stacked. Sebastian Walcott of the Texas Rangers is ranked sixth at the position and No. 7 overall, followed by Colt Emerson as the seventh-ranked shortstop and No. 9 overall prospect. The first overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, Eli Willits, comes in eighth at the position and No. 13 overall with the Nationals, while the Philadelphia Phillies’ Aidan Miller (No. 23 overall) and the Colorado Rockies' Ethan Holliday (No. 24 overall) round out the Top 10. As a result, Peña narrowly misses the Top 10 shortstops by just one spot.
Ultimately, Peña, Williams, and Pratt's absence from the Top 10 shortstop prospects says less about them and more about how deep the position currently is across baseball. That said, young players frequently shift positions as they develop, making the more important takeaway Milwaukee’s ability to stockpile multiple top-tier prospects and extend their competitive window.
