Whether or not the Milwaukee Brewers' flamethrowing rookie Jacob Misiorowski would be included on the team's NLDS roster has been a hot topic in the Cream City over the last week. With concerns that Brandon Woodruff would not be able to pitch in the NLDS, which were confirmed just moments ago, the Brewers' postseason starting rotation was left with some concerns.

Freddy Peralta has already been named the Game 1 starter, and earlier today Pat Murphy revealed that the Game 2 starter will either be Quinn Priester or José Quintana, with the other presumably taking the ball in Game 3. However, questions remain as to how deep each of Milwaukee's starters will go in the games and who will follow them out of the bullpen should they end up turning in a shorter start.

Enter someone like Jacob Misiorowski, who likely won't be asked to start any games this postseason, but could cover an inning or two out of the bullpen. That said, the same command concerns that were present with The Miz when he was a starter would presumably still exist even if he was coming out of the 'pen, and in a high-leverage situation, he might not be high on Murphy's trust tree.

Reviewing the Brew's Brandon Glick addressed both sides of the "should Misiorowski be included on the NLDS roster argument" in two separate articles this week. Be sure to check those out to better understand the dilemma that Murphy and Matt Arnold faced when deciding whether or not to include The Miz on their 26-man postseason roster.

However, with less than 24 hours until the first pitch of Game 1 of the NLDS, the Brewers were forced to reach a decision on their rookie sensation. Arnold delivered said decision to team reporters just moments ago.

Jacob Misiorowski to be included on the Brewers' NLDS roster

In a press conference with team insiders and members of the national media, Arnold, sitting alongside the Brewers' principal owner, Mark Attanasio, confirmed that Jacob Misiorowski will be included on the team's NLDS roster, as reported by Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, among others.

While his exact role remains to be determined, Misiorowski will earn valuable experience as part of the Brewers' NLDS roster. It's almost certain that he will pitch in a relief role, but there's a small possibility he serves as an opener for someone like Quintana who would offer a stark change of pace for opposing hitters.

With The Miz and Quintana in, and Woodruff officially out, the Brewers' NLDS roster picture is becoming much clearer. That said, there are still several decisions that need to be made and likely won't be revealed until the roster is released tomorrow morning. The most notable of which are whether or not Rhys Hoskins will be a part of the NLDS roster, and which group of relievers the Brewers end up carrying.

It's officially crunch time, Brewers fans. With a Saturday matinee to kick things off, the start of the Brewers' postseason is rapidly approaching.
