As frustrating as it can be to follow the Milwaukee Brewers at time given their tight payroll situation and high profile departures, one thing that they are consistently excellent at is developing talent in the minor leagues. Whether it is the draft, trades, or the international market, the Brewers have a knack for finding talented players and, most importantly, turning them into big league talent.

That isn't to say that there haven't been some missteps along the way with first round picks Ethan Small and Tristen Lutz coming to mind. Every organization has guys that get hurt, fail to develop as expected, or were just mistakes from the beginning. However, where Milwaukee stands out is in limiting those mistakes and maximizing the opportunities that they do create for themselves.

With a young core of Jackson Chourio, Sal Frelick, Garrett Mitchell, William Contreras, and others, the results speak for themselves in the big leagues. However, a lot more help seems to be on the way as well. Baseball America released their 2025 preseason top 100 prospect rankings this week and the Brewers had four prospects within the top 50.

Jesus Made highlights Brewers' strong showing on Baseball America's pre-season top 100 prospects list

According to the fine folks at BA (whose subscription is almost a must for anyone that really loves following prospects), the Brewers' Jesus Made is already the #14 prospect in baseball with Jeferson Quero (#43), Jacob Misiorowski (#44), and Cooper Pratt (#50) also getting recognition. For Milwaukee fans, this is great news as the latter three could easily factor into the Brewers fans as soon as this coming season.

Made's quick ascension is nothing short of remarkable. He was a well-regarded international prospect to be sure, but few thought he would decimate the Dominican Summer League like he did in 2024. The tooled up shortstop will make his full season debut this coming season and assuming he performs anywhere close to what he did this past season, he could climb these rankings even further and move up the minor league ladder in a hurry.

Contreras currently has a stranglehold on the primary catching duty for the foreseeable future, but Quero could still get a look in the big leagues in 2025 either with the Brewers or potentially another team if Milwaukee swings a big trade including him. Misiorowski has big time power stuff on the mound and is likely to get an opportunity to showcase that stuff either in the rotation or out of the Brewers' bullpen pretty early in 2025.

Pratt is a bit of a wild card in terms of the Brewers' plans as there isn't a clear scenario to promote him at the moment after acquiring Caleb Durbin this offseason in the Devin Williams trade. However, his well-rounded skillset could easily force Milwaukee to make a decision on him very soon.
