Not only did the Milwaukee Brewers hold the best record in baseball at the end of the regular season, but they also scored an impressive 806 runs throughout the 162-game stretch. That's the most runs the Brewers have generated in a single season since 1999 when, despite finishing with a record of 74-87, Milwaukee scored 815 runs. With so much offense generated by the 2025 squad, it's only fair to expect the Brewers to be a big part of MLB's awards season, and more specifically Louisville Slugger's Silver Slugger Awards.

Just moments ago, FanSided revealed this year's NL Silver Slugger Award finalists. The finalists for the AL Silver Slugger Awards will be revealed at 11:00 a.m. EST tomorrow, exclusively on FanSided.com. In two weeks’ time, the winners for the NL will be revealed on FanSided's "The Baseball Insiders" YouTube show at 6:00 p.m. EST on November 6 with the AL winners being revealed at the same time on November 7.

FanSided Exclusive: Unveiling the 2025 NL Silver Slugger Award finalists

Much to the delight of Brewers' fans, Milwaukee was shown a deserved respect for their record-breaking season in 2025. The Brewers have not one, not two, but three finalists for this year's awards, all of whom are more than deserving of their place among the league's best hitters at their respective positions.

William Contreras, Brice Turang, and Christian Yelich named finalists for 2025 NL Silver Slugger Award

Three of the top four hitters in Pat Murphy's lineup for much of the regular season and all of the postseason, William Contreras, Brice Turang, and Christian Yelich, were a formidable trio in 2025.

Contreras, who is looking to take home his third consecutive NL Silver Slugger Award at the catcher position, didn't quite replicate his 2024 season that earned him a top-5 finish in NL MVP voting, but he continued to prove why he is one of the most valuable catchers in baseball. A "down" year for Contreras resulted in 17 HR, 76 RBI, and an OPS+ of 111 -- 11% better than the league average. However, what's even more impressive about Contreras' 2025 campaign is that he caught 128 games, far more than his fellow finalists, Will Smith and Hunter Goodman, and did so with a fractured finger on his glove hand for most of the season. His display of toughness and resilience was truly unmatched this season.

Turang, a player most Brewers fans didn't expect to ever be nominated for a Silver Slugger Award after his rookie campaign in 2023, has undergone one of the most impressive improvements in his offensive production in all of baseball over the last two seasons. Most couldn't believe the major step forward that Turang took a season ago, but his improvement from 2024 to 2025 is even more impressive. After a slugging percentage of .300 in his rookie campaign, which jumped to .349 in 2024, Turang slugged 18 homers in 2025, and his slugging percentage jumped to .435. Add 28 doubles and 81 RBI to his impressive stat line, and Turang has a real chance at bringing home some silver this year, after adding both a Gold and Platinum Glove to his trophy case in 2024.

And then there's Christian Yelich, whose spot among the DH finalists for this year's NL Silver Slugger Award is validation that he made the correct decision when it came to prioritizing his health a season ago. Following his major back surgery last summer, Yelich returned in a major way this year; he slugged 29 homers and drove in 103 RBI, both of which are the most he's collected since his 2019 MVP-runner-up season. Alongside two of the NL's best hitters in 2025, Kyle Schwarber and Shohei Ohtani, nominated for the NL Silver Slugger Award at the DH position, Yelich has re-established himself as the feared hitter he was to begin his Brewers tenure.

As previously mentioned, the winners won't be announced until November 6, but stay tuned for more coverage on the Crew's three Silver Slugger finalists and their chances of taking home the award at their respective positions.
