It has been nearly three months since the world of baseball lost one of its legends. As the second full week of the regular season begins, a clear void exists in the radio booth at American Family Field. But if there's one thing that can be agreed upon as the baseball world continues to mourn the loss of Bob Uecker, its that he would have wanted a day dedicated to him to be a celebration rather than a somber affair, and the Milwaukee Brewers are planning on doing just that.

While the Brewers have already honored Mr. Baseball in a number of amazing ways, including a jersey patch that will be worn throughout the season, the organization announced on Monday morning that a celebration of the life of Bob Uecker will be held on August 24 before, during, and after the Brewers 1:10 pm matchup with the San Francisco Giants.

Per the Brewers' press release, the celebration will include a pregame show with Uecker's former booth companion, Bob Costas, who will be joined by a number of guests to celebrate and remember Uecker's amazing life and the lasting impact that he made on the world of baseball.

Additionally, fans who purchase a ticket to the game on August 24 will be given a rare commemorative pin that will be unavailable anywhere else. The design of the pin hasn't been released, but tickets to the event are expected to be in high demand regardless.

The celebration continues throughout the game with videoboard content dedicated to Mr. Baseball. Several of the charities that Uecker endorsed will benefit from the game's 50/50 raffle, with proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project, The ALS Association, and the Medical College of Wisconsin Bob Uecker Chair for Cancer Research.

Stay tuned for more information as the game draws nearer.

Tickets are available on brewers.com/uecker.
