When you look good, you play good. At least, that is the cliché that is thrown around in sports circles. How it applies to baseball is really anyone's guess at this point. There are endless alternate jerseys in the minor leagues, promotional partnerships, and various theme nights that get people in the doors. We as fans buy more merchandise, and the players seem to always embrace it -- everybody wins.
Teams take advantage of days like Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Independence Day to add variation to their standard lineup of uniforms. Additionally, MLB's adoption of the City Connect jerseys in recent years, has added a whole new layer to the world of jerseys.
Outside of Chris Sale throwing a tantrum before a start with the Chicago White Sox a few years back, most players seem to enjoy the variety of uniforms with a fresh look that goes outside the standard home and road standard uniforms.
When it comes to Spring Training uniforms, they typically end up being similar to the batting practice look for that team -- generally a lighter material in the jersey and the hat, and tending to embrace something a bit different from the normal threads. Last year, the Brewers went with yellow hats with a dark blue brim that showcased the standard ball-in-glove logo and a big Spring Training patch on the side. This year, however, there appears to be a massive switch-up.
2026 Brewers Spring Training hat leaks, and it is beautiful
While nothing has been officially announced by the team, or MLB for that matter, as all focus is currently on the World Baseball Classic roster release, one Redditor has allegedly come across the Brewers hat for 2026, and if it is legit, it is stunning.

Again, it is worth noting that nothing has been confirmed by the team, the league, or any online retailers, but this does seem to line up in terms of timing and theme. The patch on the side panel is relatively similar to past years, though it seems to embrace the Cactus League more than the last few seasons. Coupling that with the artwork and the team's recent embrace of the powder blue colorway, everything seems to line up. Additionally, new Chicago Cub Dylan Carlson was seen wearing a similar hat back on January 26.

This is an absolute home run if this is indeed the Spring Training for 2026, and it will leave myself and many other Brewers fans about $40 lighter once they are released. Credit to the people within the Brewers working with New Era to develop something bold and artistic, offering a unique addition to each team’s lineup of hats.
The trucks are packed and should be arriving in Arizona any day now. The first Cactus League games are two weeks away, and the boys of summer are almost back. Bring on baseball season.
