The Milwaukee Brewers continually churn out talent from their minor league system. It's the key to their success as a franchise, staying competitive, and making the playoffs six of the last seven seasons. Many of those players have graduated, including Jackson Chourio, Garrett Mitchell, Brice Turang, and Sal Frelick.

There's still many more in the pipeline and this time of the year is when outlets are releasing a lot of their updated prospect rankings.

Keith Law of The Athletic has just put out his MLB farm system rankings, putting in order the 30 MLB organizations based on the quality of their minor league talent. According to Law, the Brewers are a top 10 farm system in all of baseball.

The Brewers farm system did lose a little bit of luster in the last year as stud prospect Jackson Chourio broke into the big leagues and graduated from prospect status. He was a consensus top-two prospect in all of baseball and with him out of the rankings, the star power is a little lacking.

Law cites Jesus Made as the potential next star player coming out of this system and he certainly seems on his way, pushing into several outlets' Top 100 lists this year. He's still far away from the big leagues, having only played at the DSL level.

The star potential is all in the lower levels with teenage prospects but there's also a decent amount of players that are close to contributing to the big league team, but perhaps not as stars. Jeferson Quero and Jacob Misiorowski have the highest upside of the players close to the majors, however both have flaws. Quero missed almost all of 2024 with shoulder surgery and it's still unclear how well his throwing arm will recover this year and Misiorowski appears likely to be a reliever due to his command troubles.

The Brewers have a reputation for getting the most talent out of the players in their system and turning perhaps unheralded players into quality big leaguers. Law references that the Brewers do have a number of big league players in their system, even if many are lacking in star power, they can help a big league roster.

The Brewers have a handful of Top 100 prospects and that helps give them a Top 10 farm system in all of baseball, according to Law.
