It feels like every few days we're seeing a new amazing accomplishment from star Milwaukee Brewers rookie Jackson Chourio. Well, I guess we can add another one to the list after tonight.

The Brewers faced off against the Giants in the first game of a three-game series earlier this evening. Heading into the bottom of the third inning, San Francisco had a 1-0 lead thanks to a RBI groundout in the top of the same inning.

After a ground out by third baseman Joey Ortiz and an opposite field single by second baseman Brice Turang, Chourio came to the plate with one on and one out. And to say he got a hold of a pitch from Giants starter Logan Webb would be an understatement.

Yes, you read that right. Chourio's home run, which travelled a majestic 449 feet into deep center field, not only hit the scoreboard but actually even damaged a panel on it. Just take a look at this closer view of the "wreckage."

The Brewers had 138 home runs coming into the game against the Giants tonight, 20th in the league on the season. Chourio's 449-ft bomb was not only the longest of his very short career, but the longest of any member of the Crew so far in 2024.

The NL Rookie of the Year candidate also had a stolen base prior to his homer, which helped inch him closer to what would be a pretty amazing milestone. Now with 16 home runs and 19 steals, the 20-year-old is just three homers and a stolen base away from becoming a member of the 20-20 club in his rookie season.

The Brewers are going to need some more firepower either from Chourio himself or someone else on the team. As it currently stands, Milwaukee is trailing the Giants 3-2 heading into the bottom of the 5th after a couple solo home runs gave San Francisco the lead.
