With just under a month to go until the 2023 MLB All-Star game, voting is cranking up as fans look to get their favorite players into the game. The first phase of voting closes on June 22nd, with the second phase being open from June 26th until teams are announced on June 29th.

Following the series sweep over the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Milwaukee Brewers were briefly back on top of the NL Central and will look to hold onto that spot and play in the postseason. With each team having at least one player on the All-Star roster, it is difficult to pick from the Brewers with so many injuries and a recent drop in form before the Pirates' series.

Last season three Brewers made the roster and all on the pitching side. Corbin Burnes made it for the second time, Josh Hader for the fourth, and Devin Williams earned his first All-Star appearance in last year's event in Colorado. Now let's look ahead to this year's game and see which three members of the Brewers could make an All-Star appearance.

Here are 3 Brewers that are most likely to make an All-Star appearance in 2023

Brewers potential All-Star #1 - Devin Williams - RP

He may be the most likely to receive the honor, but Devin Williams has still had a stellar season on the mound and continues to be one of the elite relief pitchers in all of baseball. This season he currently has a 1.90 ERA in 24 appearances, claiming three wins and just one loss, per MLB.com.

His ERA is down slightly from last season's but it is his 12 saves that have been impressing, already being close to the 15 he claimed in 65 games last year. The batting average against him is also down slightly to .145 and outside of a disastrous ninth inning against the Minnesota Twins last week, his form has been impeccable.

For the All-Star game, five relief pitchers tend to be on the roster and despite good competition, Williams should comfortably still make the team. Former teammate Hader is still in the NL with the San Diego Padres while Alexis Diaz of the Cincinnati Reds has had a strong season for a team performing way above expectations.

There are still names such as Camilo Doval with the San Francisco Giants and Nick Anderson of the Atlanta Braves that will fancy their chances of making the team too. Of those mentioned Williams is only slightly behind Diaz and Hader in ERA.

Brewers pitching as a whole has been up and down but that is mainly due to injuries. There has been no Aaron Ashby so far this season, Brandon Woodruff has missed a lot of time along with Wade Miley and those that have stepped in have struggled, including former Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes. This may help boost Williams' chance of making the All-Star roster because of his performances when others have struggled.

Brewers potential All-Star #2 - William Contreras - C

William Contreras has been an excellent acquisition for Milwaukee, providing security behind the plate but also being an offensive boost. At just 24 years old, he has a bright future ahead of him and has really locked down the starting catcher position, which the Brewers would tend to rotate between players in previous years.

He is currently batting .246, which is sixth best of all National League catchers, and has the fourth best OBP with .341 according to MLB.com. To go with this he has eight home runs, tied for third in NL catchers.

One of the downsides to Contreras' case is that there have been other catchers having tremendous seasons so far. According to FoxSports, Sean Murphy and Will Smith were leading vote getters as of 13th June so there is still time for Contreras to catch up.

Other names included Elias Diaz of the Colorado Rockies and of course J.T. Realmuto of the Philadelphia Phillies who have both had strong seasons so far. However, Contreras has been one of the more consistent Brewers players and with each team getting at least one representative, he may sneak in. The likes of Smith and Murphy have the rest of their high profile teammates to compete with, potentially leading to shocks as to who misses out come the end of June.

The opportunity for Contreras is there, his performances have been impressive, he has brought great punch to an offense that needed it and has been strong behind the plate. Their may be compeition for that place but there is no reason why he can't make a case to be on the All-Star team.

Brewers potential All-Star #3 - Christian Yelich - OF

Now this may come as a surprise to many, but Christian Yelich's form recently has been outstanding. It would also be great to see the former MVP back in the All-Star game having had a tough few years at the plate.

He is currently batting .271, which would be the best mark since his last All-Star season back in 2019. Everyone in Milwaukee has been rooting for him to get back on track and it is starting to feel like he has found his feet again. What has perhaps snuck under the radar is that his batting average is ninth out of all NL outfielders, something I did not expect to see. That's better than Mookie Betts and Juan Soto.

With just nine home runs it does put him in 13th but an OBP of .367 has him above the likes of Betts, Nick Castellanos and Bryan Reynolds, all who will feel they should be a lock for a spot on the All-Star roster. Well, Yeli is throwing his hat in the ring.

Another factor that comes into play and boosts Yelich's case is his ability when on base. 16 stolen bases has him fifth and then his 49 runs has him fourth, just behind Ronald Acuna Jr., Betts and the sensational rookie Corbin Carroll.

Since the 1st of May, Yeli is one of just four players with a line of .300 AVG, .400 OBP and .500 SLG. To make things better, his last 15 games he is at .333, .433 and .561. Narrow that further to his last seven games and he is batting at a whopping .407, getting on base at .484 and his slugging numbers are at .778. Yes they are his actual stats over the last seven games. Mindblowing.

As we approach the All-Star game, there is still time for players to turn heads and throw their name in the hat for reciving the honor. These are just three of the Brewers players I picked out to make an appearance in Seattle in mid-July. Stay tuned to find out which player gets to represent the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2023 All-Star game.
