The Milwaukee Brewers are coming off of their best month of the season season since April. Four months ago they started the season off 18-9 and during the final month of summer they went 17-9. This included a season high nine-game winning streak and at one point having a five game lead in the division.

Throughout August, several Brewers stepped up and performed well. Normally we posted monthly studs and duds articles, but this time we are going to focus on the four players who played the best.

Here are four Brewers studs from a spectacular month of August.

Brewers stud of the month from August: SP Freddy Peralta

The Brewers best pitcher during August was Freddy Peralta. He covered 30 innings over five starts and Milwaukee won every game that he started. Additionally, he struck out 46 batters, had a 2.10 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, and a .162 opponent batting average. On two separate occasions he posted double digit strikeouts.

Brewers stud of the month from August: C/DH William Contreras

Out of 26 possible games in August, William Contreras played in 25 of them. He managed to stay in the lineup by getting at-bats as the designated hitter when not catching. His bat ended up being one of the team's best and he ended the month on a 10-game hitting streak. Additionally, he led the Brewers in hits (28), doubles (10), RBI (21), and OPS among qualified hitters (.844).

Brewers stud of the month from August: RP Abner Uribe

Abner Uribe was called up to the big leagues on July 8, and during the middle of August manager Craig Counsell indicated that he had earned the opportunity to pitch in high-leverage spots. That has indeed been the case as last month he recorded his first career save, has been called upon to get others out of jams, and only appears in close games. Overall, he threw 14 innings in August, had a 2.08 ERA, and opposing batters hit just .156 against him.

Brewers stud of the month from August: OF/1B Mark Canha

Of the Brewers new additions, Carlos Santana got a lot of the early headlines with some big home runs and a 10 RBI road trip, but Mark Canha managed to put together a solid month with several clutch hits/moments. He finished August tied with Willy Adames for the third most hits (23), tied with Sal Frelick for the second most RBI (15), and he struck out one more time (10) than he walked (9).

There were several positive contributors during the month of August, but these four stood out the most. Hopefully they can keep playing well throughout the final month of the regular season and Milwaukee can both win the division and get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2021.
