Milwaukee Brewers Officially Release 2024 Spring Training Schedule
Are we talking about 2024 already?!
The Milwaukee Brewers are in the middle of a battle for the top of the NL Central division with the Cincinnati Reds, finished signing their 2023 draft class, and are deciding who to bring in at the trade deadline to help make their final playoff push.
But let's talk 2024!
It's hard to believe that it's time for this already, but Major League Baseball released their spring training schedules for the 2024 season earlier today. The Brewers' schedule ended up looking like this.
On Tuesday, the Brewers and Major League Baseball released their 2024 spring training schedule.
The Brewers return to American Family Fields of Phoenix to play in the Cactus League for the 2024 season. Those games begin on Saturday, February 24th when they take on the San Diego Padres on the road.
The first opportunity for fans to travel and see the Brewers at home comes the very next day, Sunday, February 25th as the Crew takes on the Colorado Rockies. That continues a stretch of nine games in nine days before Milwaukee gets their first day off of the spring.
If you're planning on making the trip and hoping to see the Brewers play at their home stadium next spring, don't show up on to the stadium on a Tuesday! Milwaukee plays games on all five Tuesdays next spring, but all of those games take place on the road.
You shouldn't have anything to worry about if you show up for a long weekend, however. The Crew plays home games on all four Fridays of the Cactus League season.
The final of those Fridays is a split squad matchup, of which the Brewers have two specifically scheduled. On Wednesday, March 6th, they play the Guardians at home and the Reds on the road while on Friday, March 22nd, it's the Royals at home and the Mariners on the road.
That all leads into the 2024 regular season, of which we already know the schedule. But as a refresher, the Brewers start on the road once again with a series in New York against the Mets that starts Thursday, March 28th. They then return to Milwaukee for their home opener against the Twins on Tuesday, April 2nd.
The current 2023 season still has a solid two-plus months to go. Before we know it, though, it'll be back to spring training and a new baseball season.
