After five long days without baseball -- the result of their team once again earning a first-round bye -- Milwaukee Brewers fans' wait is nearly over. The Brewers are set to host the San Diego Padres, the National League's top Wild Card team, on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon in Games 1 and 2 of the National League Division Series.

The Padres, by virtue of their NL Wild Card Series sweep of the Chicago Cubs, are returning to the NLDS for the fourth time this decade. They were swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS during the modified 2020 postseason, defeated the Dodgers in the 2022 NLDS, lost to Los Angeles in the 2024 NLDS, and will now face the top-seeded Brewers in the Division Series this year.

Milwaukee, meanwhile, is set to make their third NLDS appearance of the 2020s, and their fourth since 2018. The Brewers defeated the Colorado Rockies in the 2018 NLDS, lost to the Atlanta Braves in the round in 2021, beat the Cubs in a memorable NLDS matchup last year, and now draw the hottest team in baseball in the Padres this year. For a full breakdown of the Brewers' 11 previous postseason appearances, be sure to check out Tyler Koerth's "Complete history of the Milwaukee Brewers' postseason appearances," which is available to read at ReviewingtheBrew.com and linked below for your convenience.

Whereas last year the Brewers simply had to drive 90 miles south to Wrigley Field for their away games in the NLDS, this year a flight to the West Coast will be required. Game 3 of the NLDS will be played at Petco Park in San Diego, which was a loud, electric venue during the NL Wild Card Series this year. Should a fourth game be required, it will also take place in San Diego, but a hypothetical Game 5 would be back at American Family Field on Friday, October 9. Here's a full rundown of the NLDS schedule complete with dates, start times, and broadcast options.

One caveat exists in the schedule above. If the Brewers and Padres' series advances to Game 5, and the Dodgers and Braves' matchup doesn't, Game 5 on Friday, October 9, will be played at 7:00 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on FOX rather than FS1.

Brewers fans with cable should have no problem accessing games on FS1, but should check that the specific channel is included with their cable package. The same goes for YouTube TV and fubo users -- both providers carry FS1, but fans should double-check that the channel is included with their specific package. For those without cable, YouTube TV, or some other way to access FS1, FOX's new streaming service, FOX One, will have all of the NLDS and NLCS games this year. Playoff games are unfortunately not included in Brewers.TV or MLB.TV packages.
