It's prospect ranking season, and as a result, the Milwaukee Brewers have been receiving plenty of love over the last few weeks. Even before the Brewers added top prospects Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat in the Freddy Peralta blockbuster earlier this month, Milwaukee possessed one of the strongest farm systems in all of baseball.
However, the additions of Williams and Sproat have propelled the Brewers into a tier of their own, and the farm system rankings from top prospect evaluators are reflecting the organization's excellence. Last week, five Brewers prospects were named to MLB Pipeline's Top 100 list, and when the popular prospect evaluation site expanded their list to the top 110 -- as they do every year -- that number climbed to seven. With seven players in Pipeline's Top 110 prospects in baseball, the Brewers are tied for the most in MLB with the Seattle Mariners.
While MLB Pipeline may be the most frequently cited prospect rankings list, other highly respected minor league experts have confirmed that the Brewers farm system as a whole, not just their Top 100 prospects, outperforms every other minor league system in baseball. Just yesterday, two more evaluators, Keith Law of The Athletic and Kiley McDaniel of ESPN, ranked the Brewers at the top of their farm system rankings.

Brewers farm system named best in baseball by both The Athletic and ESPN
As previously mentioned, the Brewers absolutely have the top-tier talent at the top of their farm system needed to be deemed the best in baseball, but what separates them from the pack is the depth throughout their minor league affiliates. Take the Texas Rangers for example. According to McDaniel, Texas possesses the fifth best prospect in baseball in shortstop Sebastian Walcott, but their farm system as a whole ranks 22nd in baseball. In other words, one prospect alone doesn't earn teams a top spot in farm system rankings.
Certainly having a prospect like Jesús Made helps; Made could become the top prospect in all of baseball by the end of the 2026 campaign if Konnor Griffin of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Kevin McGonigle of the Detroit Tigers graduate from their prospect status in 2026, but more is required to be the best farm system in baseball.
While already having an impressive six Top 100 prospects on Law's list and a ridiculous eight on McDaniel's, the true strength of the Brewers' farm system is reflected in the latter's expansion to the top 200 prospects in baseball. Four more Brewers are added to McDaniel's list when he expands it to the top 200 in baseball, meaning Milwaukee has 12 of the top 200 prospects in baseball according to ESPN. In addition to Made, Luis Peña, Williams, Logan Henderson, Cooper Pratt, Sproat, Jeferson Quero, Bishop Letson, Luke Adams, Andrew Fischer, Josh Adamczewski, and Luis Lara, all received recognition from McDaniel with the latter four being named to his list of the top 101-200 prospects in baseball.
Simply put, there is an unbelievable amount of talent in the Brewers' farm system, and all of the names listed above are expected to reach at least the Double-A level at some point during the 2026 campaign. Both Law and McDaniel's lists confirm what Brewers fans are already aware of given the recent coverage of their farm system following the Peralta blockbuster: Milwaukee's window of contention isn't closing any time soon.
