Baseball may be called America's Pastime, but the upcoming weeks are about to show that the game is global. The World Baseball Classic is officially underway with the opening round of pool play kicking off last night.

Spring Training will continue for the MLB clubs over the upcoming weeks, allowing those not participating in the WBC to continue ramping up for the 2026 season while the stars represent their respective countries. Milwaukee Brewers fans got an early sample of the WBC on Tuesday, as the Crew hosted Team Great Britain in a tuneup game, which saw the Brits earn a 7-3 victory.

Milwaukee is sending 14 total players -- nine of whom are on the 40-man roster -- to eight different teams in the upcoming international showcase, not to mention a number of guys who played for the Brewers in the past. Take a look to see where your favorite Brewers will be playing with our rooting guide below.

Milwaukee Brewers' fans rooting guide to the 2026 World Baseball Classic

Canada (2) Tyler Black and Rob Zastryzny

Coming off the Olympics, specifically the hockey gold medal games, this may be a tough one for fans outside of America's hat. Tyler Black and Rob Zastryzny will represent Team Canada this year. A Toronto native, it will be Black's first time representing Team Canada, and he is expected to play infield, but can play in the outfield as well.

Zastryzny, an Edmonton native, will be representing Team Canada for a second time, playing for his home country in the 2019 WBSC Premier12 tournament, as a qualifier for the 2020 Olympics.

Former Brewers infielder Abraham Toro will also represent Canada.

Dominican Republic (1) Abner Uribe

The Dominican Republic roster is stacked, as it looks to win its first WBC since 2013. Vlad Guerrero Jr., Ketel Marte, and former Brewers first basemen Carlos Santana are just some of the players headlining this roster. Since this is a Brewers fan rooting guide, it must be noted that Manny Machado is also part of this roster, which may also make it a booing guide.

Abner Uribe, who hails from Santo Domingo, will make his World Baseball Classic debut and figures to be one of the late-game options for the DR. It's a great tune-up opportunity for the regular season, as Uribe will face some of the best players in the world in high-leverage situations.

Great Britain (2) Miles Langhorne and Jack Seppings

A pair of Brewers farmhands are suiting up for Great Britain. Both players finished their 2025 campaigns pitching out of the bullpen for the High-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, after starting the season with the Carolina Mudcats.

Langhorne appeared in 27 games between Low-A and High-A, with a 3-0 record, four saves, and 43 strikeouts. Seppings made 37 appearances in 2025, striking out 56 batters with a 3-2 record. Seppings earned the win for Great Britain against the Brewers in Tuesday's exhibition match, pitching 1.2 innings, during which he gave up a home run to David Hamilton and struck out Akil Baddoo.

Italy (1) Andrew Fischer

Andrew Fischer is set to play for Team Italy, fresh off hitting a home run for the Brewers in Spring Training over the weekend. The Brewers have high hopes for the third baseman drafted out of the University of Tennessee in the first round of the 2025 MLB Draft, and for good reason. Fischer comes into the year as the No. 6-ranked prospect in the organization and the top-ranked third base prospect in MLB according to MLB Pipeline.

With the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers last year, Fischer made an immediate impact, hitting for a .311 average over 19 games, and with a home run and 10 RBI. It will be Fischer's first time playing for Team Italy, and is the sole Brewers player on the team after Sal Frelick elected not to return to Italy's roster after playing for the team in the 2023 WBC.

Mexico (1) Joey Ortiz

Joey Ortiz is the lone current Brewer set to play for Team Mexico this year. It will be Ortiz's first time playing for Mexico, following a 2025 MLB season that saw him excel defensively but regress considerably at the plate.

Ortiz joins former Brewers, Rowdy Tellez, and Luis Urías on Team Mexico.

Nicaragua (3) Carlos Rodriguez, Freddy Zamora, Stiven Cruz

Carlos Rodriguez headlines this group of Brewers playing for Team Nicaragua. Rodriguez played for Triple-A Nashville for much of the 2025 campaign, but made four appearances for the big league club.

Freddy Zamora was the second-round pick for the Brewers in 2020, after a collegiate career at the University of Miami. He has the ability to play all across the infield and in the outfield grass, but most of his time in 2025 was spent at shortstop. In 104 games, Zamora slashed .257/.353/.347 with four home runs, but Zamora is off to a fantastic start in his first three exhibition games with Nicaragua.

Stiven Cruz is from the same hometown as Zamora, and has been in the Brewers system since 2021. In 2025, he made the leap to Double-A Biloxi, where he made 14 appearances, and collected two holds, 19 strikeouts, and a 4.91 ERA.

Venezuela (3) Jackson Chourio, William Contreras, Ángel Zerpa

Venezuela will be one of the favorites in this year's World Baseball Classic, and will be competing against the Dominican Republic in Pool D. Team Venezuela is absolutely stacked with talent, featuring non-Brewers like Ronald Acuña Jr., Eugenio Suárez, Ranger Suárez, and Salvador Perez. Jackson Chourio and William Contreras headline the group of Brewers on the team.

Ángel Zerpa arrived in the Brewers' organization this offseason after Milwaukee sent Isaac Collins and Nick Mears to the Royals to acquire him. With the Royals in 2025, Zerpa made 69 appearances, and put together a 5-2 record, 4.18 ERA, and 58 strikeouts.

USA (1) Brice Turang

Team USA is one of the odds-on favorites for the WBC, after finishing as the 2023 runner-up and winning the 2017 World Baseball Classic. On that 2017 team? Then Miami Marlin Christian Yelich, who made the All-World Baseball Classic team and won the WBC batting title.

Now, the next generation of stars is representing Team USA nearly a decade later. Brice Turang is suiting up for the US for the third time, having played for Team USA in the 2014 15U Baseball World Cup and 2017 18U Baseball World Cup. In 2014, Turang won the Richard W. Case USA Baseball Player of the Year award, joining the likes of Alex Bregman, Adley Rutschman, and Ben Sheets, among many others.

World Baseball Classic games will be broadcast on FS1, FOX, FS2, and Tubi. A full schedule of the games can be found at the link below.
