It has been a tough offseason for the Milwaukee Brewers, with Willy Adames leaving in free agency, Devin Williams being traded to the New York Yankees and of course the loss of legendary sportscaster Bob Uecker.

As difficult it has been, the future looks bright for the Crew, not only with their current roster but their farm system continues to churn out high potential prospects and The Athletic's Keith Law (subscription required) has given his seal of approval.

A roster that has recently seen Jackson Chourio, Brice Turang, Garrett Mitchell and many more break through, five members of the current Brewers association have found their way onto Law's top 100 prospects list for 2025. There has been very little movement on the free agency front so there may be some players fast tracked into the majors depending on the next month or so until Opening Day.

Some of the names will be expected to hit the majors this season, others we may see later down the line but the future remains positive for Milwaukee.

Keith Law is a big fan of the Brewers’ farm system after his latest top 100 rankings

Law has given the Brewers farm system and the players their flowers with catcher Jeferson Quero the #15 ranked prospect despite missing 2024, teammates Cooper Pratt (#44), Tyler Black (#56), Jesus Made (#78) and Jacob Misiorowski (#87) all make the list.

William Contreras has been a great pickup for the Brewers since he was obtained in a three-team trade with the Oakland A's and Atlanta Braves back in the final weeks of 2022, He was named the All-MLB First Team catcher in 2024, but his understudy Quero offers Pat Murphy some real long-term depth behind the plate.

Quero missed the entirety of 2024 with a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder, but is on track to be ready for Spring Training. It is likely that Quero starts the season Triple-A after a year of baseball missed, but there is no reason why he can't find his way into the majors if he gets off to a good start at both sides of the plate.

Pratt can be a long-term solution following the Adames departure and provide depth in the infield with the plethora of other young players. The 6-foot-4 20-year old shortstop hit .295/.394/.395 in Low A along with a really good strikout rate of just 18.3 percent and walk rate of 12.2 percent. The power is developing and he is a plus defender that can lead him to being a real asset for the Brewers in the coming years.

Black has a real shot of making the first base job his own following a poor season from veteran pickup Rhys Hoskins in 2024. The 24-year old found it tough during his 18 games in the majors, but a consistent run at first base may be what he needs as he has shown in the minor leagues that he can be an above average hitter with decent power.

Made is perhaps the most fun prospect of the lot, with Baseball America already having him as their #14 prospect in all of baseball. His rise through the baseball ranks is similar to that of Chourio's and is regarded as one of the top international prospects around. 2025 will see him make his full season debut and who knows what level he may end the year at. He walked more than he struck out in the Dominican Summer League and that is a sign of something special.

Misiorowski is the final prospect to make the list and he will likely be seen pretty early in the season with us yet to know if he will be a rotation piece or come out of the bullpen. The 6-foot-7 righty has great power pitching as he struck out 30 percent of batters at Double-A and then replicated the feat at Triple-A. His ability to limit contact may suit him to a relief role but Murphy and his staff may have a plan for him.
