For the Milwaukee Brewers the Pittsburgh Pirates series was huge this past weekend and yesterday they finished the job with a 4-1 victory over the Pirates who struggle at Miller Park. For the Pirates it was their 21st straight loss at Miller Park and it seems more mental than anything else. The Milwaukee Brewers just seem to have the Pittsburgh Pirates number and yesterday they were able to send that streak to 20 straight games with a 7-3 win over the Pirates. I really cannot explain why the Pirates struggle at Miller Park becomes lord knows every other team that has come in recently has seen success against the Brewers. For the Pirates it seems more of a mental thing, but the Milwaukee Brewers will take it.

The bumbling Brewers keep finding ways to lose and last night was no exception. The Milwaukee Brewers had three errors yesterday and the Cincinnati Reds did what they needed to do to hand the Brewers another extra inning loss this time by a 4-3 count in ten innings. It seems the same old broken record is be played for the Milwaukee Brewers as the bullpen could not hold the Reds when it counted and lost 8-6 in 13 innings.  You knew this had to happen with all the innings the bullpen has logged in recently. The sad part is the Brewers made a heck of a comeback in the bottom of the ninth by scoring five runs to send it into extra innings only to lose it in 13.

In day games the Milwaukee Brewers have struggle this year with just a 15-25 record. With a afternoon start you really did not know what to expect from this team as one game they play well one game they do not. Milwaukee Brewer pitching has been very giving this year and yesterday was no exception.  Starter Manny Parra yielded three home runs and five earned runs and the Brewers lost to the Nationals by a score of 8-3.  Just another loss in a dismal season that has seen the Brewers go from contenders to pretenders.

After Mike Cameron help the Brewers build a lead he also had to help them get it back after they blew the lead. Cameron had four hits last night in helping the Brewers make it two in a row over the Washington Nationals by a 11-9 score.
